Vietnam’s population hits 96 million

The Central Steering Committee for the Population and Housing Census published preliminary results from the 2019 census on July 11 in Hanoi.

As at April 1, Vietnam’s population was more than 96.2 million people, with men accounting for 49.8 per cent and women 50.2 per cent. Vietnam is therefore the 15th most populous country in the world and the third in Southeast Asia.
