Vibrant reforestation season in mountainous areas

As the rainy season arrives in central Vietnam, it marks the peak of the reforestation period for people in mountainous areas. Unlike the past’s illegal logging practices, reforestation has now become a thriving movement. This shift is largely attributed to new government policies, including Decree 168/2016/ND-CP, which assigns forest management and development to households. This initiative has fostered forest restoration, improved ecosystems, and provided stable economic benefits to ethnic minority communities in disadvantaged regions.
