Meeting charts course for sustainable marine economy
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired the first meeting of the National Steering Committee on the implementation of the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Vietnam’s Marine Economy till 2030, with a vision to 2045. The virtual and in-person meeting connected with officials from 28 centrally-run coastal cities and provinces.
The committee was asked to urgently complete the national marine spatial planning and a master plan on the sustainable exploitation and use of coastal resources. Additionally, developing metrics for evaluating programmes, projects and tasks outlined in the strategy is crucial.
