Buffer zone communities to receive financial support
Each community in special-use forests’ buffer zones will receive an average of 50 million VND (over 1,900 USD) a year under a recent degree on several forestry investment policies. The decree will take effect from July 15, 2024.
The financial support will be prioritised for agricultural and forestry extension activities, the purchase of seedlings and breeds, and small-scale processing equipment for agricultural and forestry products, along with the construction of public facilities in such areas as clean water, lighting system, communications network, and rural roads.
