World Bank study sheds light on socio-economic development drivers of Vietnam’s ethnic groups

Physical and economic connectivity, market linkages, and labour market mobility are among the top drivers distinguishing the best-performing ethnic groups from the rest, according to a new study by the World Bank.

The study suggests that future policies should focus on soft investment in production support and capacity development, access to the labour market and women’s economic empowerment while addressing misperceptions and social stigmas.
