Workshop discusses benefits of clean energy to air and health

A roundtable dialogue on co-benefits of sustainable energy development for air quality and community health took place in Hanoi on June 13.

Nguy Thi Khanh, director of Vietnam’s Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID), said the workshop aims to create a forum to identify related barriers and solutions to capitalising on co-benefits. The event consisted of two discussion rounds with the participation of five Vietnamese and foreign speakers. 

Participants said the country should consider the contribution of energy efficiency and renewable energy in its Power Master Plan VII.
