Blue or white, no respite: labor shortage dogs firms
Companies in Vietnam continue to face difficulties in recruiting both white and blue-collar workers to fuel their post-Covid recovery operations.
Current labor supply is unable to meet the post-Covid recovery demands of companies, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs has said. There was a shortage of 120,000 employees in the first quarter this year, or 10 percent of demand and 2-3 percentage points higher than that of previous years.
